Peruvian Chinese Association

The Peruvian Chinese Association (秘魯中華協會), or APCH, known in Spanish as the Asociación Peruano China, is a Lima-based heritage organization for Peruvians of Chinese descent. It was founded on June 13, 1999, during commemorations of 150 years of Chinese immigration to Peru, by a group led by businessman Erasmo Jesús Rolando Wong Lu Vega (黃業生), who has headed it since. The APCH organizes cultural festivals, Lunar New Year celebrations and awards, and publishes the magazine Integración. Its activities are closely intertwined with Wong’s businesses. Its annual awards gala is held at the Corporación Wong auditorium in La Molina. A 2020 profile also described weekly association classes held at Willax Televisión, the broadcaster in which Wong’s business group holds a majority stake. The APCH is one of three members of the Patronato that manages Lima’s Chinese-funded Centro de la Amistad Peruano China (Peruvian-Chinese Friendship Center), and Wong represents it as the Patronato’s president.
