Peruvian Chinese Cultural Center

The Peruvian Chinese Cultural Center (秘華文化中心), known in Spanish as the Centro Cultural Peruano Chino, is a non-profit organization that describes itself as dedicated to the integration and cultural development of the Peruvian-Chinese community, or tusán. It was founded on August 30, 1981, and runs Villa Tusán, a social, cultural and sports club on the Carretera Central east of Lima. China’s government-run news agency, Xinhua, has described it as an organization of mainly Peruvian-born professionals, such as scholars and engineers, that promotes Chinese traditional culture and Peru-China exchange, with more than 1,800 members. The center has worked with the PRC Embassy on public projects. It co-created the Parque Chino (Chinese Park) in Lima’s Miraflores district with the embassy and the Chinese community, and in July 2026 its representatives attended an embassy ceremony presenting replicas of Qin dynasty terracotta warriors to the Municipality of Lima. It is one of three members of the Patronato that manages Lima’s Chinese-funded Centro de la Amistad Peruano China (Peruvian-Chinese Friendship Center).
