China Media Group and the National Library of Pakistan Hold Event

On April 21, 2025, a seminar commemorating President Xi Jinping’s landmark visit to Pakistan a decade ago was held in Islamabad. The event, titled “Shared Dreams, Shared Progress: A Decade of Modernization,” was jointly organized by China Media Group (中央廣播電視總台) and the National Library of Pakistan, featuring prominent government officials reflecting on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor’s impact. The seminar attracted diverse participants from think tanks, academia, media, and various sectors to discuss the partnership’s achievements and future prospects. Federal Minister for Board of Investment Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh called Xi’s visit “a pivotal moment in bilateral relations,” while Minister of State for National Heritage and Culture Huzaifa Rehman described CPEC as “an economic lifeline” for Pakistan during challenging times. Parliamentary Secretary for IT and Telecommunications Sabheen Ghoury emphasized the “all-weather friendship” between the nations, noting significant advances in digital and economic cooperation. Former Ambassador to China Sardar Masood Khan (薩爾達爾·馬蘇德·汗) praised the deepening cooperation, underscoring how Xi’s visit marked a turning point when CPEC was launched on April 20, 2015, with $46 billion in agreements.
