Ganzhou Municipal People’s Government

The Ganzhou Municipal People’s Government (贛州市人民政府) is the chief administrative body of Ganzhou, a prefecture-level city in southern Jiangxi province. Ganzhou’s jurisdiction includes Ruijin (瑞金), which served from 1931 as the capital of the CCP’s Chinese Soviet Republic and remains an iconic destination for “red tourism” built around Party revolutionary history. The government oversees economic planning, public services, urban development and the implementation of national and provincial policy. It operates under the leadership of the Ganzhou Municipal Committee of the Chinese Communist Party (中國共產黨贛州市委員會). In July 2025, it helped organize the Belt and Road Journalists Forum in Ganzhou, and it issued the forum’s English-language press release internationally.
