Leadership (領導者報) is a Nigerian English-language daily newspaper based in Abuja and published by Leadership Group Limited. It published its first edition on October 4, 2004. It grew out of Leadership Confidential, a newsletter that founder Sam Nda-Isaiah had marketed to embassies and political elites. On its 20th anniversary, the paper described itself as “Nigeria’s most influential newspaper.” Its Hausa-language edition, Leadership Hausa, has carried content from China since 2018. That content began as a feature titled “Daga Sin,” which was later renamed “Babban Bango” (“The Great Wall”), according to the paper’s report on a 2023 agreement between its parent company and China Media Group (中央廣播電視總台). The report said the content-sharing arrangement was then limited to Leadership Hausa, and that the group’s chairman asked China Media Group to extend it to the English-language paper. In 2024, the paper’s managing editor said that collaboration with the Chinese government, conducted through its embassy, included publishing content from China across all the group’s titles and platforms.
