Chubun Sangyo Co Ltd

Listed on the footer of Japan’s Chinese-language Chubun (中文導報) as the copyright holder, Chubun Sangyo Co., Ltd. (中文产业株式会社) is the publisher of what China’s Baidu Baike describes as Japan’s “comprehensive Chinese-language weekly newspaper.” The company has published Chubun since its September 1992 founding, distributing 80,000 copies weekly across four sections. A 2005 speech by the newspaper’s editor-in-chief, published in CNHubei, describes Chubun Sangyo as “Japan’s largest comprehensive Chinese enterprise promoting Sino-Japanese exchange” and a “cross-media group” operating multiple outlets including Chubun, “Lele China” (乐乐中国) television station, Japanese magazine CHAi, and the “Kentoshi” (遣唐使) website. However, the company also describes itself as a logistics firm delivering “necessary goods to necessary places at necessary times” with “low prices, high quality, and short delivery times,” creating an unusual structure where a supply chain operation owns a prominent Chinese-language media outlet.

Riyadh Daily

Riyadh Daily, published by Al-Yamamah Press Establishment, is the first English-language daily newspaper from Saudi Arabia’s capital. It began as a newsletter in the 1960s before developing into a broadsheet in 1985 and was in circulation until January 1, 2004, when it ceased print publication. The newspaper was later revived as a digital-only publication, relaunching online on January 1, 2017, coinciding with King Salman’s second anniversary as monarch. As a sister publication to the influential Arabic Al-Riyadh newspaper, it maintains a pro-government editorial stance while covering Saudi political, economic, and social developments. Through its website (alriyadhdaily.com), the publication continues to serve English-speaking readers with news about Saudi Arabia and the region.

National Media Group

Founded in 2008 by oligarch Yury Kovalchuk, whom one Russian analyst referred to as “Putin’s long-time friend,” National Media Group (Национальная Медиа Группа), or NMG, is Russia’s largest private media conglomerate. The company controls Channel One, Channel 5, REN TV, CTC Media networks, and the national newspaper Izvestia. NMG operates through a joint venture structure involving state-controlled entities, including Rossiya Bank (the personal bank of senior Russian officials, according to Open Sanctions), the oil and gas company Surgutneftegas, the insurance company SOGAZ, and Gazprom Media, another media conglomerate that with its parent company sits under the Russian oil and gas giant Gazprom. The content of NMG outlets is closely aligned with Kremlin narratives, with several channels facing European bans for operating as state propaganda vehicles.

Media Chinese International Limited

Media Chinese International Limited, formed in April 2008 and dual-listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and Bursa Malaysia, is a Chinese-language media group created by the successful merger of Ming Pao Enterprise Corporation Limited, Sin Chew Media Corporation Berhad, and Nanyang Press Holdings Berhad. The company traces its roots to Sin Poh Amalgamated, founded by Aw Boon Haw (胡文虎) in 1941. Its flagship publication in Hong Kong, Ming Pao (明報), established on 20 May 1959, was acquired by Malaysian timber tycoon Tiong Hiew King (張曉卿) in October 1995. Headquartered at the Ming Pao Industrial Centre (明報工業中心) in Hong Kong’s Chai Wan district with another headquarters in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia, the group is chaired by Ms TIONG Choon (張聰). The company reported 5 daily newspapers in 13 editions with “about 1 million” total daily circulation for 2023/24, including Ming Pao, Sin Chew Daily (星洲日報) from 15 January 1929, and other major papers. The group has expanded into digital media and operates over 30 magazines through subsidiaries, including Life Magazines and One Media Group Limited.

The government of Uganda operates as a presidential republic under the Constitution adopted on October 8, 1995, establishing a system where the president serves as both head of state and head of government. The president appoints the prime minister, who must maintain the confidence of parliament. Headquartered at Maximos Mansion in Athens, the government functions through multiple specialized bodies, including the Committee on Institutions and the Government Council for Foreign Affairs and Defence. Ningxia Daily Media Group

The Ningxia Daily Media Group (寧夏日報報業集團) is an institution directly affiliated with the Propaganda Office of the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region Committee of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), established as a media conglomerate on July 26, 2006, and headquartered in Yinchuan. The group encompasses seven newspapers, two magazines, one website, and one mobile newspaper platform. The group is responsible for news propaganda and public opinion guidance (輿論導向) under the provincial leadership, operating with a 12-member Party Committee and 13-member Editorial Committee. The conglomerate operates through five service departments and eleven business units, including the All-Media Command Center, while maintaining subsidiary units such as New Message Daily (新消息報), Ningxia Internet News Center (寧夏互聯網新聞中心), and Little Dragon Learning News (小龍人學習報). The group has engaged in media cooperation activities internationally, including participation in Belt and Road Initiative exchanges with Southeast Asian media organizations.

China Today (今日中國) magazine was established in 1952 as China Reconstructs by Soong Ching-ling (宋慶齡), widow of Sun Yat-sen and later honorary president of the People’s Republic of China, in collaboration with naturalized Polish-Chinese journalist Israel Epstein. The magazine was renamed China Today in 1990 and is now operated under the China International Communications Group (CICG), which was established in October 1949. The publication describes itself as an official outlet intended to promote knowledge of China’s culture, geography, economy, and social affairs to international audiences. China Today currently publishes nine printed and 10 digital versions in multiple language,s including English, French, German, Arabic, Turkish, and Chinese, while also operating related magazines such as CHINAFRICA, Dialogue Chine-France, and Potala. Propaganda Office of the CCP Committee of Jiangxi Province

The Propaganda Department of the CCP Committee of Jiangxi Province (中共江西省委宣傳部) serves as the primary vehicle for the provincial Chinese Communist Party leadership to exercise control over public opinion and propaganda throughout Jiangxi Province. Operating under the direct authority of the provincial Party committee, the department oversees ideological work, news media management, and cultural affairs to ensure alignment with Party directives and central government policies. The department runs key “mouthpiece” (喉舌) media including Jiangxi Daily (江西日報), the province’s official Party newspaper, and coordinates with other state media outlets to disseminate approved narratives. The department also manages foreign media engagement, cultural exchange programs, and educational initiatives designed to promote Party ideology while controlling information flow and maintaining political orthodoxy across the province’s media landscape.
