Styria Medien AG

Styria Media Group, or Styria Medien AG, is one of Austria’s largest media companies, founded in 1869 and headquartered in Graz. The company emerged from the Catholic Press Association in the Diocese of Graz-Seckau and remains 98.33 percent owned by the Catholic Media Association Private Foundation (Katholischer Medien Verein Privatstiftung). Styria operates internationally with significant holdings in Slovenia and Croatia, employing approximately 2,500 people who generated combined market revenue of 420 million EUR in 2023. The company’s portfolio spans daily and weekly newspapers (including the flagship Kleine Zeitung), magazines, book publishers, radio stations, and digital marketplaces. Styria positions itself as a forward-looking, independent media group guided by its purpose to provide guidance, build trust, and foster community.

Malaysia China Insight

Malaysia China Insight (馬中透視) is a Malaysian media platform established in 2013 that focuses on Malaysia-China business news through multiple channels including a trilingual news app, a newspaper, a bilingual English-Chinese magazine, and KenaliTV, a video channel offering content in Malay and English. Based in the capital of Kuala Lumpur, the platform provides news coverage in English, simplified Chinese, and Bahasa Malaysia, positioning itself as a platform for bilateral business information between Malaysia and China.

Table Briefings

Table Media is a digital news and policy information organization founded in 2019 and headquartered in Berlin, Germany, known for its “Table Briefings” channel. The company provides subscription-based, in-depth briefings covering diplomacy, technology, education, sustainability, European affairs, and global political and economic developments — with briefing channels also focusing on countries and regions including China, Europe, and Africa. The organization cliaims to have the largest team dedicated to Chinese content and coverage in the German media landscape. Jhy-wey Shieh, Taiwan’s representative in Germany, has described Table Media as an “investigative media” outlet operating Germany’s largest China-focused team.

Malay Mail 

The Malay Mail is a Malaysian news outlet founded in 1896, making it the country’s oldest English-language newspaper. After ceasing its print operations in 2018, it now operates as a digital-first publication covering politics, lifestyle, business, and technology. That same year, it launched Cincai News (精彩大馬), a Chinese-language sister news portal. While the publication was originally created for professionals and the business community to read the news, its online reach now extends to a diverse readership across Malaysia. 

AdnKronos

Adnkronos is an Italian multimedia news agency founded in July 1963 through the merger of two earlier agencies, Kronos and ADN. Headquartered in Rome, it has been directed by Giuseppe Marra since 1981, when he became editor-in-chief, later acquiring 98 percent ownership by 1990. The agency has expanded significantly, establishing specialized divisions including Adnkronos Salute for health news in 1995 and Labitalia for labor issues in 2001. In 2003, it launched AKI-Adnkronos International, a multilingual service broadcasting in English and Arabic. The agency has partnered with various international outlets, including a 2019 cooperation agreement with Spain’s Europa Press and a 2016 communications agreement with Azerbaijan’s state agency Azertac.

RTVC Sistema de Medios Públicos

RTVC Sistema de Medios Públicos (Radio Televisión Nacional de Colombia) is Colombia’s public broadcasting service, operating under the Ministry of Information Technologies and Communications. Created in October 2004 through Decree 3525 after dissolving Inravisión, RTVC manages two national television channels—Señal Colombia (cultural and educational programming) and Canal Institucional (government information)—plus one regional channel, Canal Trece. The system also operates two national radio networks: Radio Nacional de Colombia (cultural and informative) and Radiónica (youth-oriented music), broadcasting on 73 frequencies nationwide. Additionally, RTVC maintains 16 “Peace Stations” established under the 2016 peace agreement, runs the digital platform RTVCPlay, and preserves Colombia’s audiovisual heritage through Señal Memoria.

SPH Media Limited

SPH Media Limited (华文媒体集团) is a Singapore-based media organization formed in 2021 following the restructuring of Singapore Press Holdings’ media business into a not-for-profit entity. It publishes news and lifestyle content across digital and print platforms in multiple languages, including The Straits Times, first published on 15 July 1845 and recognized as Singapore’s oldest newspaper by the National Library Board. With 42 media brands and 15 overseas bureaus, SPH Media plays a central role in Singapore’s media landscape, maintaining close ties to the state through its ownership structure.

Agenzia Giornalistica Italia

Agenzia Giornalistica Italia (AGI) is an Italian news agency founded in July 1950 by journalist Giulio De Marzio and lawyer Walter Prosperetti. The agency has been controlled by Italian state energy company Eni since 1965. Based in Rome, AGI maintains 15 regional editorial offices across Italy and a foreign bureau in Brussels. The agency produces over 1,000 daily news bulletins covering politics, economics, international affairs, culture, and sports, and publishes in seven languages, including Italian, English, Chinese, Arabic, Spanish, Portuguese, and French. AGI was among Italian media outlets that established partnerships with Chinese state media in the 2010s.

Reuters Agency

Reuters is a British news agency established in London in October 1851 by Paul Julius Reuter, a German-born entrepreneur who pioneered the use of telegraph technology for news transmission. The agency provides news content, multimedia, and financial data to media organizations, businesses, and professionals globally through its Reuters Connect platform and various information services. Reuters currently employs around 2,500 journalists and 600 photojournalists, posted at approximately 200 locations worldwide and producing content in 16 languages. The agency has won more than 300 awards for its news coverage in the past decade, including 2024 Pulitzer Prizes for National Reporting and Breaking News Photography.
