Established in April 2001 following telecommunications legislation, RTR operates under Austrian federal law to ensure compliance with media regulations, allocate broadcasting frequencies, and regulate electronic communications markets.
All About Macau, also known as AAMacau, is a Macau-based independent media outlet that began in August 2010 as a weekly feature in Sonpou News (訊報). The publication formally established itself as an independent entity in 2012, launching its website AAMacau.com, followed by its first print monthly magazine in May 2013. Il Sole 24 Ore is Italy’s leading financial newspaper, created on November 9, 1965, through the merger of Il Sole, founded in 1865, and 24 Ore, launched in 1946. The newspaper is owned by Confindustria, Italy’s employers’ federation, and is headquartered in Milan. Il Sole 24 Ore covers business, politics, commercial law, and financial markets, and operates as part of the broader 24 ORE Group. The company claims it has become “Laos’ most influential Chinese-language media” and partners with Lao state television, Lao Economic Daily (老撾經濟日報), Vientiane Times (萬象時報), and Chinese state media including People’s Daily Online and China News Service. On November 9, 2023, Lao-China Enterprise Services Company acquired Laos Info Network from Laos Future Media Company, with Samanoh Bensena as board chairman, Savang Bensena as general manager, and Long Pan (龍攀) as Laos Future Media’s chairman attending the signing ceremony. Zhou Zeyu (周澤宇) was nominated as the network’s general manager.

Nanyang Siang Pau (南洋商報) is a Malaysian Chinese-language daily newspaper founded on September 6, 1923, in Singapore by philanthropist Tan Kah Kee (陳嘉庚). The Arab League, formally known as the League of Arab States, is a regional organization founded in March 1945 with seven founding members: Egypt, Iraq, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Transjordan, and Yemen. Today, it comprises 22 member states across North Africa and the Middle East, headquartered in Cairo. According to its charter, the founding members agreed to seek “close cooperation” on matters of economics, communication, culture, nationality, social welfare, and health. The League’s goals are to strengthen relations between member states, coordinate collaboration, and safeguard their independence and sovereignty. Each member has one vote in the Council, with decisions binding only for states that voted for them. Despite ambitious goals, the League has been criticized for disunity and poor governance, with critics describing it as a “glorified debating society.” The organization has no mechanism to compel members’ compliance with resolutions.
CNN, or Cable News Network, is an American multinational news media company owned by the entertainment conglomerate Warner Bros. Discovery. Founded on June 1, 1980, by media entrepreneurs Ted Turner and Reese Schonfeld, the Atlanta-based network became the first 24-hour cable news channel and the first all-news television channel in the United States. CNN International, which launched on September 1, 1985, broadcasts CNN programming globally. The network also operates a Beijing Bureau to cover China and Greater Asia.
Angeles University Foundation (AUF), located in Angeles City, Central Luzon, is a private, non-stock, non-profit Roman Catholic educational institution. It was founded on May 25, 1962 by Agustin P. Angeles, Barbara Y. Angeles, and family, and was granted university status by the Philippine Department of Education on April 16, 1971. In 1975, the founding family executed a Deed of Donation relinquishing ownership, converting the institution into a tax-exempt foundation under Philippine law. AUF became a Catholic university on February 14, 1978 — the first Catholic university in Central Luzon, according to the university. It operates the AUF Medical Center, a private teaching and research hospital inaugurated in 1990. According to the university, AUF has held autonomous status granted by the Philippine Commission on Higher Education (CHED) since 2003, a distinction held, it says, by fewer than 70 of the country’s approximately 2,400 higher education institutions. In October 2009, AUF established the Confucius Institute at Angeles University Foundation (CI-AUF) in partnership with Fujian Normal University (福建師範大學), with a formal opening in January 2010 attended by then-Philippine President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, then-Chinese Ambassador to the Philippines Liu Jianchao (劉建超), and then-Hanban (漢辦) Director General Xu Lin (許琳).
