Taiwan Affairs Office of the Guangdong People’s Government

The Taiwan Affairs Office of the Guangdong People’s Government (廣東省人民政府台灣事務辦公室) is the provincial implementation of CCP Taiwan policy in Guangdong, operating under the “one institution, two names” system as the Taiwan Work Office of the CCP Guangdong Provincial Committee (中共廣東省委台灣工作辦公室). The office implements central directives while coordinating Taiwan affairs across provincial departments and municipal governments, managing cross-strait economic cooperation, cultural exchanges, and personnel movements. It approves Taiwan investment projects, manages Taiwan journalists visiting Guangdong, and oversees the province’s role in attracting Taiwan business to the Greater Bay Area. The office reports to both the provincial Party committee and the national TAO.

Islamic Republic News Agency

The Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) is Iran’s official state news agency, founded in 1934 as Pars News Agency and renamed following the 1979 Islamic Revolution. Operating under the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance with government funding, IRNA maintains 60 domestic offices and 30 international bureaus worldwide. The agency publishes the Iran newspaper and provides news services in Persian and other languages. However, IRNA has faced scrutiny for spreading misinformation on topics including COVID-19, regional conflicts, and international affairs, with critics questioning its journalistic credibility and noting instances where it cited satirical sources as factual news.

Xalq Qəzeti

Xalq Qəzeti (People’s Newspaper) is a government-owned socio-political daily newspaper published in Baku, Azerbaijan. The publication operates from Bülbül Avenue and publishes editions in Azerbaijani, Russian, and English languages. As one of Azerbaijan’s most widely read newspapers, Xalq Qəzeti covers politics, economics, society, culture, and sports within a media landscape characterized by severe state control. Azerbaijan’s mass media sector operates under significant national authority constraints, with journalism not enjoying full independence according to media monitoring organizations. The newspaper functions within this system as a government outlet providing coverage of domestic and international affairs. Yousuf Sharifzadeh serves as international relations director and participated in the February 2026 Belt and Road Media Cooperation Forum journalist delegation touring Chinese industrial facilities.

CITIC Group

CITIC Group Corporation, formerly the China International Trust and Investment Corporation, is the preeminent state-owned conglomerate of the People’s Republic of China. It was founded on July 1, 1979, by the “Red Capitalist” Rong Yiren (榮毅仁) with the direct approval of late Chinese leader Deng Xiaoping. Established as a pilot for national economic reform, CITIC served as the primary “window” for introducing foreign capital and advanced technology into a reforming China. Today, it is a global powerhouse managed by the Ministry of Finance (MOF), ranking 62nd on the 2025 Fortune Global 500

Government of Senegal

The Government of Senegal, operates as a presidential democratic republic established on November 25, 1958. Currently led by President Bassirou Diomaye Faye, the government consists of executive, legislative, and judicial branches, with its seat in Dakar. The president serves as both head of state and government, with a five-year term limit restored by a 2016 referendum. The unicameral National Assembly comprises 165 members serving five-year terms, with the Senate having been abolished in 2012. The highest judicial authorities include the Constitutional Council and the Court of Cassation. Administratively, Senegal is divided into 13 regions with locally appointed administrators responsible to the president. Internationally, Senegal maintains memberships in numerous organizations, including the African Union and the UN, and has historically participated in international peacekeeping efforts while serving as a regional mediator in conflicts such as the Darfur crisis.

Hong Kong Gonggong News Agency International Communication Center

The Gonggong News Agency International Communication Center (共工新聞社國際傳播中心), founded in 2025 under the mysterious Hong Kong-based Gonggong News Agency, describes itself as a media organization established to promote Chinese culture internationally and “tell China’s story well” (講好中國的故事) through overseas Chinese-language media networks. The center positions itself as inheriting the “Gonggong spirit” (共工精神) of “courage and responsibility to the people” (勇毅卓絕、為民擔當). The center has strategic cooperation agreements with multiple Chinese language outlets in South Korea and Canada, focusing on content sharing and joint platform development to enhance its “international communication capacity” and facilitate cultural exchange between China and other countries. The center appears to have been launched by Gonggong News Agency following the broader trend of creation of international communication centers (國際傳播中心), or ICCs, across China as part of a central policy outlined by Xi Jinping from 2018 onward. 

El Moudjahid

El Moudjahid, established during the 1954-1962 Algerian War as an FLN resistance information bulletin, is a French-language daily newspaper in Algeria. The paper, whose name translates to “The Martyr,” featured contributions from writer and psychiatrist Frantz Fanon and activist Eveline Safir Lavalette during the independence struggle. After Algeria gained independence in 1962, it became the country’s primary newspaper and served as the FLN (National Liberation Front) army’s propaganda outlet during the single-party period. The paper, headquartered on the Algiers seafront near the Parliament and Central Bank, publishes daily except Fridays.

Arbejderen

Arbejderen (工人日報), also known as Dagbladet Arbejderen, is an online newspaper established on September 1, 1982, and headquartered in Copenhagen that claims to serve as the official media outlet of Denmark’s Communist Party (丹麦共产党). The publication positions itself as expressing “the policies of the Communist Party in its editorials and articles” and operated as a print daily newspaper until May 1, 2019, when it transitioned to online-only format citing media subsidies cuts and distribution costs. According to organizational listings, leadership has included Birthe Sørensen, who served as editor-in-chief for 19 years before being replaced by Anders Sørensen in April 2019. The newspaper claims approximately 60,000 monthly users visit its website and originally replaced another party publication called Gnisten.

Hindustan Times

The Hindustan Times, founded in 1924, ranks among India’s largest English-language daily newspapers with a circulation exceeding 700,000 as of 2023. Based in New Delhi and owned by HT Media Limited under the control of the Birla family, a prominent Indian business family based in and around New Delhi, the publication serves as the flagship newspaper for the media group headed by Shobhana Bhartia. Bhartia served as a member of the Rajya Sabha, the upper chamber of the Indian parliament, from 2006 to 2012. The Times maintains simultaneous editions across major Indian cities including Mumbai, Lucknow, and Chandigarh, establishing strong readership particularly in North India. Its digital platform reaches 81 million unique visitors monthly, making it one of India’s leading news websites. The media group also operates sister publications including business daily Mint and Hindi newspaper Hindustan.
