Founded by businessman Javier Moll l and based in Barcelona, the company produces print and digital journalism emphasizing provincial coverage outside Madrid’s traditional media sphere. In 2021, the group launched El Periódico de España

Al-Ahram Al-Arabi

Al-Ahram Al-Arabi (阿拉伯國民) is a political weekly magazine published in Cairo by the Dar Al Ahram publishing house, which also owns the daily newspaper Al-Ahram and Al-Ahram Weekly, two of Egypt’s largest media outlets. Founded in 1997, the magazine is currently edited by Khaled Tawheed, who assumed the position in June 2014. Unlike its sister publication Al-Ahram, Al-Ahram Al-Arabi maintains a critical stance toward Egyptian government policies and espouses anti-Israel positions. The magazine has been used as a platform for Chinese diplomatic messaging, including articles by Chinese Consul General in Alexandria Zhao Liying (趙麗瑩) promoting China-Arab cooperation initiatives.

Al Manassa

Platform News (平台新聞), also known as Platform News, is an Egyptian digital media outlet that advertises itself as “a progressive platform and independent website offering investigative stories, in-depth economic & political analysis, and social & cultural features.” According to its description on Facebook, the outlet provides “firsthand, unbiased news reporting from inside Egypt.” It has published Chinese diplomatic communications, including the publication of signed articles by Chinese officials such as Consul General Zhao Liying (趙麗瑩).

Turkuvaz Media Group

Turkuvaz Media Group (綠鬆石媒體集團), or Turquoise Media Group, is Turkey’s largest media conglomerate, operating newspapers, television channels, radio stations, digital platforms, and book retail operations. The company is led by CEO Serhat Albayrak, brother of former Turkish Treasury and Finance Minister Berat Albayrak and son of Sadık Albayrak. Originally sold to Çalık Holding in 2008, the company has operated under Kalyon Group since 2014. Turkuvaz Media Group controls major Turkish outlets including the Sabah newspaper (purchased from the state-run Savings Deposit Insurance Fund in 2007), Daily Sabah (launched in 2014), and television channels ATV, A2, ATV Europe, A Spor, and A Haber. The group acquired D&R, Turkey’s largest book and hobby retailer, from Doğan Holding in 2018. Turkuvaz has maintained close ties to Turkey’s ruling AKP government, with First Lady Emine Erdoğan attending corporate events. The company holds exclusive broadcasting rights for Turkish Cup and Super Cup football matches, which it airs unencrypted across its television network.

Agenzia Nazionale Stampa Associata

Agenzia Nazionale Stampa Associata (ANSA) was founded on January 15, 1945, as Italy’s leading news agency and a not-for-profit cooperative owned by leading Italian news organizations. Headquartered in Rome at Via della Dataria 94, ANSA maintains offices across Italy and internationally in 78 other countries. The organization claims to transmit “more than 3,500 news items and 1,500 photos daily” to Italian media, national institutions, and international organizations. ANSA emerged from Italy’s anti-fascist resistance movement, replacing the fascist Agenzia Stefani after World War II. The agency provides news services in seven languages, including Italian, English, Spanish, German, Portuguese, and Arabic, and since 2003 has operated ANSAMed, covering Mediterranean basin countries. ANSA is currently led by President Giulio Anselmi, CEO Stefano De Alessandri, and Editor-in-Chief Luigi Contu.

United Group

United Group is a telecommunications and media company formed in 2007 through the merger of Serbia Broadband (SBB) and Telemach from Slovenia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Founded by Serbian businessman Dragan Šolak, the company is headquartered in Amsterdam and operates across eight countries in Southeastern Europe. United Group provides television, internet, and mobile telephony services through its portfolio of television stations, film and TV production, telecommunications platforms, and media channels, including N1, Nova TV, and Sport Klub

OBS Gyeongin TV

OBS Gyeongin TV (韓國OBS電視台) is a South Korean free-to-air television station covering Gyeonggi Province, Incheon, and Seoul. Founded on August 30, 2006, and launching broadcasts on December 28, 2007, OBS is the only regional television network in South Korea operating independently without affiliation to any national broadcast network. The station is headquartered in Bucheon and broadcasts on digital channel 36. OBS is owned by OBS Gyeongin TV Ltd., with major shareholders including Young-An Hat Company, Media Will, and KD Group. The network expanded its operations by launching OBS Radio on March 30, 2023, operating on the former frequency of Gyeonggi Broadcasting Corporation.

Telam

Télam or Telenoticiosa Americana was an Argentine government-run national news agency founded in April 1945 by then-Secretary of Labor Juan Perón during the presidency of Edelmiro Julián Farrell. The service was suspended in March 2024 by the government of President Javier Milei, who announced during a speech to Congress that he would close what he called “a Kirchnerist propaganda agency.” At the time of suspension, Télam had approximately 700 employees and provided news and information to about 300 subscribers, including government entities and national and international media. Milei’s administration cited losses of AR$20 billion (approximately US$23 million) as justification for the decision to shutter the agency. In July 2024, Télam was officially dissolved and renamed “Agencia de Publicidad del Estado S.A” — or “State Advertising S.A.”

The City Review

The City Review, self-described as “South Sudan’s most authoritative Newspaper,” provides comprehensive coverage across multiple sectors including national news, business, world affairs, sports, health, and education. Based in Juba with offices in Building House, the publication organizes content into clearly defined categories spanning from local arts and culture to international news from five continents. Its business section covers agriculture, innovation, and technology, while its editorial department features opinion pieces and analysis. The newspaper maintains both print and digital platforms, and also has an active account on X. In July 2024, journalists at City Review went on strike over low pay and alleged discrimination, claiming expatriate staff earned up to $2,500 monthly while the highest-paid national staff received less than $100. The protesting journalists ceased submitting stories after receiving what they described as a “bucket of intimidation” in response to their grievances.
