Spanish Radio and Television Corporation

Spanish Radio and Television Corporation (Corporacion de Radio y Television Espanola or RTVE) is Spain’s state-owned public broadcasting corporation, established in 1973 through a merger of Radio Nacional de España (RNE) and Televisión Española (TVE), with its current structure established in 2007. RTVE operates five domestic television channels — including the generalist La 1 and La 2, news channel 24 Horas, children’s channel Clan, and sports channel Teledeporte — alongside radio stations and the streaming platform RTVE Play. It also reaches international audiences through TVE Internacional in over 190 countries

El Triangle

El Triangle is a Catalan-language weekly newspaper based in Barcelona, founded in January 1990. It describes itself as prioritizing “investigative journalism and analysis.” The weekly newspaper has both a print edition and a bilingual (Catalan and Spanish) website, with an active presence on social media platforms including X and Facebook. The publication displays the logo of the Generalitat de Catalunya’s Department of the Presidency — the Catalan regional government’s executive coordination body — as a supporter. 

El Periódico de España

El Periódico de España is a daily publication launched on October 12, 2021. It covers politics, economics, international affairs, sports, and entertainment, and was conceived as an alternative to Madrid-centric national dailies, with the willingness to offer a more regionally diverse point of view. The publication features regional editions with local news from across Spain. Initially published in both print and digital formats, the newspaper ceased its print edition on March 28, 2024, and now operates exclusively as a digital outlet.

BSC Happy TV

Happy TV is a privately-owned Serbian television broadcaster established in 2010 through the merger of two television channels, operating on a national frequency. Happy TV’s programming focuses on entertainment, including reality shows, international content such as Indian soap operas and Latin telenovelas, and talk shows. Its news programming has been characterized by some sources as “mostly pro-government and nationalistic,” with frequent appearances by members of the populist Serbian Progressive Party. 

Channel 7

Channel 7, officially Bangkok Broadcasting & Television Company Limited, is Thailand’s pioneering commercial television network that launched on November 27, 1967. The station made history as the first color television broadcaster in Mainland Southeast Asia, initially operating under the name “Bangkok Colour Television Network” using PAL color technology in the CCIR 625-line standard. The inaugural broadcast featured the 1967 Miss Thailand Pageant during the Wachirathon Memorial event at Wang Saran Rom. The network began satellite transmission in 1978, becoming Thailand’s first station to broadcast nationwide via satellite from Bangkok to regional stations. Channel 7 launched its digital HD feed on April 25, 2014, on channel 35 and completely ceased analog broadcasting on June 16, 2018.

Khovar News Agency

Khovar News Agency, officially known as the National Information Agency of Tajikistan, was established on December 31, 1925, during the period of the Tajik Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic. The agency functions as Tajikistan’s state news agency, publishing content in Tajik, Russian, English, Arabic, and Persian languages. On April 30, 2004, a governmental decree designated Khovar as the central state information body with official authorization to collect and distribute information about the president, Supreme Assembly, and government activities. The agency also operates Radio Khovar FM, which started broadcasting in 2011.

Jakarta Post

The Jakarta Post is an English-language daily newspaper in Indonesia, founded in 1983 by four Indonesian media groups — the online daily newspaper Suara Karya, the national newspaper Kompas, the weekly magazine Tempo, and the evening daily Sinar Harapan — under the auspices of then-Information Minister Ali Murtopo and politician Jusuf Wanandi. The newspaper expressed its aim at the time as creating a credible English-language publication that provides an Indonesian perspective to the English-speaking community. Now owned by media company PT Niskala Media Tenggara, the paper covers politics, business, culture, and economics. The Jakarta Post has a content-sharing agreement with China Daily (中國日報), established in August 2019.

Spring News Television Network

Spring News was a Thai digital television news channel founded in 2010 and owned by Spring News Television Ltd., a subsidiary of News Network Corporation PCL. The channel began test broadcasts on satellite television on March 5, 2010, with its official launch on December 15, 2010. Spring News won a digital television license for news and information content from Thailand’s National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) in 2013 and began digital terrestrial broadcasting on April 1, 2014, on channel 19. In November 2016, the channel signed a five-year partnership agreement with CNN International through Turner Broadcasting System Asia-Pacific, becoming CNN’s first news affiliate partner in Asia. This partnership included content sharing, staff training, and the adoption of CNN-themed graphics beginning January 1, 2017. Spring News ceased television broadcasting on August 15, 2019, but continues operating as an online news platform under the Nation Group umbrella, maintaining its website and digital news services.

Star Media Group (SMG)

Established in 1971, Star Media Group claims to be Malaysia’s “leading multimedia conglomerate,” asserting significant influence through its print and digital platforms. The company says it has “progressively grown from a single-product company into a multi-channel media group” with presence across print, digital, radio, television and events. Star Media Group claims it helps “shape society at large” through news, entertainment and content delivery via brands including The Star newspaper, R.AGE youth publication, mStar entertainment platform, and radio station 988. The organization says it remains “committed towards offering the best in integrated media solutions” while pursuing its stated vision to “soar to greater heights” and “make a difference always.” The company claims it stays “steadfast in its commitment to bring content that drives action” and tells “stories that must be told” across Malaysia’s media landscape.
